CoroCoro Comics April Issue Review (Part 2)

Since it is the First Chapter of the New Series~
Here's the summary of the 1st Chapter of the new MetalFight Beyblade Zero G~
(Do note that with my current Japanese knowledge i can only do a summary and NOT a translation, please refrain from using direct quotes as it might be interpreted wrongly.)

The new chapter starts with a scene of the police chasing a young boy riding a horse on the highway, yes abit wtf :D Cornered, the horse took a leap off the highway. "NO HORSES ON THE ROAD!!!!" wild rider indeed.

And this wild rider is none other than our new lead~

Back in the city in a Bey shop B-Pit, a classy blader is showing off some of his blading skills beating an opponent. Shinobu he is called, praised by his fellow bladers as the 'No.1' of the area~ Like always, shinobu will have 'Tea Time' after a bey battle... and that when..

The wild horse rider appeared! "Ah, so this is B-Pit! I came here to challenge the strongest blader here!" exclaimed the new lead. "I am Kurogane Zero! and this is my partner, Samurai Ifraid!"

He further explained that he a blader from the mountains and he wanted to become stronger so wanted to find stronger challenges down in the city. He had been asking around and people  mentioned about B-Pit having the strongest blader so he came. "Please let me challenge in a Strongest Bey Battle! I need to because someday I am GONNA SURPASS HAGANE GINGA!" He was motivated by the blader spirit that Ginga and friends took out Nemesis 7 years ago and someday he is going to take that path and reach the No.1 highest Peak of Beyblade! Even if it cause him ALL this belongings!

Amused, Shinobu decided to take him on, since he IS the No.1 blader of B-Pit. Overjoyed, Zero took out his favourite BeyStadium to start the bey battle but... its an old Standard BeyStadium. The sight of the old stadium send the whole B-Pit laughing their guts out. "You seem not to know whats going on now do you, newbie?" Shinobu points to the New...

Zero G BeyStadium!!! "We will keep the rule at one fall, one Stadium Out or Sleep Out determines the winner!" shinobu added  "I am Burning Up! Lets Do This!!!" "3,2.1...Go....."

"SHOOT!!!!"
The Battle between Samurai Ifraid and Shinobi Salamader begins in the twisting and tilting Zero G BeyStadium!

Shinobu goes on describing about the Zero G stadium and Zero G beybattle is about.
Zero took the chance to do a direct attack on Salamander but... the attack was evaded due to the tilting of the stadium. Zero found that direct attacking is useless, so he decided to use Full Power to propelle his attack!

Off guard, Shinobu quickly evades and Zero's Ifraid fell thru the pocket, ending with a stadium out. "Winner! Hiryuin Shinobu!" "as expected of Shinobu" exclaimed the crowd. "The result was not a surprise"
Although taking the win, Shinobu was pretty concerned about that sudden 'Flash' of speed and power the Ifraid was using... The crowd started gossiping that Zero was a sore loser.... and suddenly...

"You ARE Indeed Very Strong!!!!" burst Zero suddenly, "I had a really fantastic battle and experience, I will definately win the next time!" he added. "As promised, ALL my Belongings are yours!" and he literally gave eveything including  his undegarments to Shinobu. Watching in the corner is the Shop Captain, "that was an interesting lad, wasn't it?"...

he soon noticed that there was a 'burned' mark on the Zero G stadium that they were battling in just now...
The night was cold and 'naked' zero's horse, manage to 'suddenly' found some clothes that fit him perfectly...(obvious its like deliberately left there >_>")

And so he was looking at the star-lited sky thinking that he needs to be stronger to surpass Ginga on day, when suddenly... "HAHAHA! Stronger than Hagane Ginga?!?!" "Hagane Ginga lost to me! Mask Blader X!!!!" WTFFFFFFFF!!!!

"How dare you speak crap of the great Ginga!" blasted Zero. "How about a Battle than if you are so good?" challenged X. So he threw a Zero G stadium out of no where and launched his bey, Flash Sagittario 230WD... (er...isn't that familiar???)

During the Battle in the Zero G Stadium, Zero began to notice that he wasn't able to effectively do an attack as it was difficult to target the opponent due to the tilting and twisting. the motion also depleated any direct attacks. "Amature!" X attacks Zero's Ifraid. "I pity your efforts, i shall give you an advice!"

"The Zero G Stadium seems uncontrolled because it follows the beys movement, Only the more powerful bey gets to control its movement!" Understanding the concept of the Zero G BeyStadium, Zero makes its move!

Zero's Ifraid began to chase after Sagittario from behind. "Isn't that the same attack from the last time?" X thought. And so comes the Secret of Ifraid's High Speed Attacks! Apparently when Ifraid's Bottom CF reaches the Edges of the Stadium, it is able to Accelerate in speed. This is because the outer 'Circle' acts as a 2nd Contact point for the Bottom and makes use of the slope surface to its advantage. (of course, the fire and air pulling in due to its W145 track is illustration purpose lol)

The sudden accelerating "burning" Samurai Ifraid delivers its special attack!

"Burning Upper!!!"

Sending X flying off his feet with is bey. He finally understood why Ifraid was able to 'Burn" now.
"Apologies, All i said was a lie." said X
"EH?????"
"I wanted to see the battle upclose, It was an epic battle wasn't it?"
And when he takes of his helmet...

"Yes, I am Kenta." (Expected from the Sagittario Bey >_>")
"When I saw your battle in the store today, I thought of the time when i first met Ginga."
"Ginga have moved over the seas to find his passion, I believe we will meet again when i found my 'strength'." Kenta explained.
"Thank you Kenta!" and Zero rode off.
Back at the store, the assistant was shocked to see Kenta so early (he never went home duh.)
"Ginga, I might have found a great blader...one to follow behind you..."

"Let go! next up battle with Shinobu!"

CHAPTER END

That was the long 1st Chapter of this new series. Do note that the anime version might be different from the comic rendition, it happens all the time. Hope you are able to understand more of Zero G.

CoroCoro Comic April Issue Review (Part 1)

This issue of CoroCoro Comic April~

Has a small image of the new Beyblade ZeroG , kurogane zero at the bottom and also comes with an extra comic book and 3DS cards freebie.

This Issue of CoroCoro also comes with new information about the upcoming MetalFight Beyblade Zero G series.

Different from the usual pages, it comes as a folded poster~!
"The Main Duo's Beyblades!" New battle styles~

New lead character after Hagane Ginga, Kurogane Zero! His new Bey - Samurai Ifraid W145CF~

And the other main character and also Zero's Team member in the future, Karyuin Shinobu. His Bey, Shinobi Salamander SW145SD~

Reviews abit on the motif of this season's beys, which is myth creatures, hopefully they will bring back Dragoon, Dranzer....and old gen bey motifs ya.

It also features the new parts needed to fully match the new Zero G BeyStadium Battle capabilities - the Circle Flat (CF). Which makes use of Two contact points to accelerate and stablize in the new 'moving' stadium.

Components of the new Beys are also reviewed. The naming for the Bey parts for this season are a little different from the past, the
FaceBolt  = 'Stone Face'
Metal Wheel = 'Chrome Wheel'
Clear Wheel = 'Crystal Wheel'.
Track and Bottoms still remain unchanged for now.

As for the new Beys, mode changing are also different from the 4D generation. ZeroG beys are double sided, so that means, mode changing requires the Chrome and Crystal Wheel System Combo to be simply flipped over. no more twisting and turning for now.

Something new from this series would have to be its 'SynChrom' Combination. Yes, two Chrome Wheels from two different Beys can be combined together to make a Full Metal 'Chrome Wheel Combi', that is like going to open bey metal wheel combinations to a new level again, great news for all customizers!

The other side of the poster, reviews on the New Zero G BeyStadium~

Unlike the previous gen's stationary Battle Bowl, the new Stadium Tilts and Rotates around during a battle.

The Stadum Out factor are '3 pockets' this time round and unbalanced beys will be 'tilted' out of the Stadium via these 3 pockets if not careful.

A few pages down, a page on the upcoming Zero G Anime is introduced. Starting on the 8 of April 2012, the new Beyblade anime happens 7 years after the nemesis event and revolves around a countryside blader Kurogane Zero, finding its way of blading after arriving at the modern city. (a little spoiler: you still get to see 4D bladers in this season thou, and one of it is the shopkeeper!)

The CG artwork of the Samurai Ifraid and its mode change is also released. Look pretty neat ya?

Also introduce abit on the sub lead, Karyuin Shinobu and other side characters and the 3rd new bey design~
Will sure be looking forward to this new series and review all the new beys of this season!

Up in my next post, a short review on the 1st chapter of the Zero G comic version~

Pegasus Leone Rev Up Launcher VS Set

Not in the official release series of Beyblade Stadium Sets

Pegasus Leone Rev Up Launcher Versus Set!
Got this at the recent Beyblade World Championship Qualifiers Event at United Square Novena. Yes i fnally won something thru playing beyblade. This time round it wasn't pitting my lousy skill at the Open Catagory, but thru a Gladiator Challenge, where i was to versus 3 of the best ambassadors of STT SG.
Nonetheless, i was lucky, nothing to do with skills or customizations. lol. On with the review.

Contents Include:
Standard Attack BeyStadium (Light Blue with Pegasus Logo)
2 x Rev Up Launcher (Black and White)

Clear FaceBolts (both blank)
Pegasus 3 Clear Wheel
Big Bang 4D three tier Metal Wheel System (Fire Red)
Final Drive 4d Fusion Track/Bottom
Leone 2 Clear Wheel
Fang 4D two tier Metal Wheel System (Gun Metal Black)
130 Track
Wide Wave Defence Bottom
Stadium Guard
Stickers & Instructions
Tool

The highlight of this Stadium Set has to be the Rev Up Launchers.
Intially introduced by Hasbro USA, the Rev Up Launcher made its popularity online quickly due to its proven high Revolution Per Minute (RPM) levels, almost double to triple a normal Beylauncher speed.

Fits with the conventional Bey Launcher Grip handles (Left or Right handed)
Unlike the Beylauncher which depends mostly on torque of the ripcord, the Rev Up works more on the momentumn of the charging gear within its body, so strength is not needed when pulling the Ripcord.

After loading the Bey in the usual catch hooks, the Blader is required to 'Charge' the Bey, this is done so by pulling the ripcord 'LIGHTLY' 3/4 of the full string length, Releasing it back and Repeat again. In the advice tutorial, the Blader is reccomended to pul the 'Charge' upon the "3,2,1, Go" count 4 times.

To Launch, SHARPLY press down the buttom beside the Spin Gauge, the charged Bey should drop from the launcher. Sounds easy? this launcher takes a few hours to get used to due to its low need for speed and torque when pulling the ripcord. Conventional users will find themselves over pulling, or pulling the ripcord too fast causing the gears in the Rev Up Launcher to 'Crack' badly normally resulting in a pre-charged bad launch or late launch. So a little warning for those who wants to use this for competitions, PRACTICE until you can do a 100% perfect launch according to the (charge, charge, charge, Charge - Launch) techique in line with the (3,2,1 Go - Shoot)

Overall, the recolored BigBang Pegasus and Fang Leone are great additions to any collectors stash. The Rev Up Launchers are cool but not reccomended for Bladers who are 'Power Launchers', will be better for Newer and Younger Bladers as they are less agressive and strong. Either than that, it takes some practice to ba able to use this for any tournaments. The Set is a good to have but not a must to get.

Limited Prize Bey - Hell Kerbecs BD145DS Inferno Version

For those Interested in taking a closer look at some limited Beys~

2011 CoroCoro Limited Prize Bey - Hell Kerbecs BD145DS Inferno Version.

This Red and Black Version of the original Hell Kerbecs comes as a 'Send In Coupon Lucky Draw' Prize in Japan. Only 100 Winners are available to get their hands on this limited bey.

But a few months later, the same Limited Bey was given out as a DVD Premium in Hong Kong, making its limited value drop.

Contents Include:
Kerbecs FaceBolt (Black/Gold)
Kerbecs Clear Wheel (Clear Red)
Hell Metal Wheel (Metallic Black)
Boost Disk 145 Track (Clear Red)
Defence Sharp Bottom (Clear Red)

One of the main reasons beside the nice color finish this Bey was well recieved even after the HK DVD version came about, it because of its higher weight Metal Wheel.

The Normal version (unpainted) weighs around 39.44grams

The Gold original version weighs around 40.60grams

The Metallic Black Inferno version weighs at 40.75grams
no doubt its only a 0.15grams difference, i guess every bit counts when it comes to weight composing.

Overall the Hell Kerbecs BD145DS Inferno Version is a collectors must have if you are a Hell Kerbecs fan (like I am). Either than that, the MW is slightly heavier and the CW, Track and Bottom comes in a cool Clear Red color. So get your HK DVD version (which is already out). If you couldn't get the Japan limited version ya.
